Bread Machine Reviews
If you're after a
bread machine... you've come to the right place.
Here on this web page we're going to
discuss what makes a great bread machine and which are the best
brands to buy. So... if you love the smell of fresh bread in
the morning, sit back and relax as we dive right
in...
First off, let's find out why you'd want
a bread machine in the first place. Well -- the smell of fresh
bread can bring peace to your mind and saliva to your tongue..
it's that good!
Bread is one of the foods we take for
granted, but you only realize this once you've had fresh, warm
bread from a high-end machine. Once you try bread from one of
these, you'll never look back.
A bread machine is also something you'll
use constantly. It's not like those other white boxes taking up
space in your kitchen cupboards that never get used.
And let's not forget ease of use. You
simply throw some ingredients in and let it go to work. Then
you can get on with other things more enjoyable than kneading
dough. It's easy, you'll use it a lot and makes fresh, warm
bread which just lights up your day. What could be
better.
And so let's get on with our bread
machine review and find out which are the very finest bread
makers...
Choosing A
Bread Machine
It's a minefield out there. So... it's
important to remember that sometimes the cheaper machines will
do just as good a job as their more expensive counterparts. How
come? Well technology has advanced to the point where there'
little difference between the two... with dearer machines you
simply get more bells and whistles and maybe a better guarantee
(and probably more fancy packaging!)
But you don't need all those extras. You
just need one that does the job. Let's look at a few other
things to bear in mind before I give you my top
picks...
Check the
quality...
Some brand names are so concerned witht
the quality of their machine that they'll offer huge
guarantees. Kinda like the John Lewis stores over in the UK.
The longer the guarantee the more faith the manufacturer has in
their product. 3-5 years is the length of time you should
expect your bread maker to last.
Is It Powerful
Enough?
If, for example, you're into whole grain
bread... you may find that a less powerful bread machine
stutters a bit when mixing the heavier dough. You can usually
tell how powerful it is merely by listening and working out
whether it sounds like it's having a tough time churning
away.
Ease of use.
Make sure you know what all the buttons
and dials do. Some bread machines can be extra-complicated so
make sure you ask an assistant to give you a hand and show you
the ropes. Yes I know it's just a bread machine but you don't
want it to become yet another white box under the
sink!
Ok so which makes of bread
machine should you be looking at...
Well you can't go wrong with a Breadman.
And they're my number one manufacturer of bread machines, but
naturally they have a lot of different models so it all depends
on your budget and what you're looking for.
The TR-810 is probably the best all round
machine and ok if you're on a tighter budget. Check Amazon for
the best prices. But if you're really ready to splash out, take
a look at the TR-3000 (sounds like something from The
Terminator doesn't it?)
This machine has all the bells and
whistles you could wish for including a touch screen and built
in recpies. Pretty nifty huh?
As for other makes... my second place
goes to Zojirushi, particularly the BBC-V20 mainly because it's
one of only a handful of machines that includes a custom
cycle.
All in all though, you need to find a
machine that works for you. Make sure you ask for help in the
shop or check out the reviews on Amazon before your final
purchase. Now I've given you my favorite makes and models...
it's time to get breadmaking! :)
